You’ve Come a Long Way

As of this past Tuesday we’ve officially been running classes at CrossFit Fenway for a year.  It’s all of you who step through our doors each day, choosing to give it all you’ve got, that have made this amazing year, and incredible, supportive community possible.  Whether you’ve been with us since the beginning, or joined in the last couple of months, you’ve been making, and continue to make amazing athletic progress.

Scroll through our gallery, or check out our member profiles to see some of the transformations taking place.  Upon examining the programming it’s also pretty clear that you’ve all stepped up your game.  A year ago we were working ring basics, the deadlift, and had a 5 round couplet of 10 burpees and 15 sit-ups.  That’s a warm-up compared to what we have going on Thursday.  Heavy power cleans and handstand push-ups.  We can only increase the degree of difficulty in the metcons, because all of you have chosen to challenge yourselves, and made such great strides towards improving your fitness.

  1. LBBS: 100KG
WOD: 10:10 – 45kg, ring pushups. Probably could’ve gone heavier on the power cleans, but my form is rubbish.

    1. Also, I’m celebrating my four months this week. Thanks all for pushing me so hard.
I made it through that muscle up in the photo. Doubt I would have been able to do that four months ago.

I’d like to give a hat tip to Grant Gittlin who first introduced me to CrossFit. We’d do WODs at my old work in the corporate gym. Talk about a strange looks.

If he ever comes up to Boston, you will all have to meet him.
