The Beast is Coming

The Beast of the East is this Saturday, November 6th, and CrossFit Fenway will be well represented.  Haley Byrnes, Nathan Jokel, Eric Papachristos, Justin Shaughnessy, Yosh Stoklosa, Kirby Smyth, as well as coaches Stacey Berube, Aaron Landes, Joe McGhee, Eric Siegel, Pat Cummings, and old friend Jon “JJ” Wellemeyer are all competing this weekend.

These athletes have been working hard to ready themselves, but couldn’t have done it without the support and encouragement of the CrossFit Fenway family.  Even though our competitors will be out there as individuals Saturday, it has been a team effort to prepare, and the support of this community will be crucial in helping push them through whatever comes out of the hopper.

  1. 44kg. Should have gone for 45 at least…oh well.

    WOD: 8:44 @ 30kg. And singles. “TTB” killed me. Stupid cold pull-up bars.

    WOD: 7:17 Rx. Burpees ruined my legs. This really slowed down my KB swings and even my double-unders, which I normally rock.

    1. I’m sure Eric can. My advice is to not buy a big bottle until you’ve tried a few. Some people(ok me)get bad reflux from them. Try a few of the recommended brands to see what’s best for you. Good luck!

    WOD 1: 465 steps to the top of the Duomo

    WOD2: AMRAP 90 minutes: salty meats and cheeses (we got about 6)

    We miss you guys! We hope you all crush it at beast!

    WOD: 11:15 (cleans @ 40, KTE) Double-unders sure do take me long when I’m only getting singles.
