Tabata Something Else

It’s been about 8 months since Tabata Something Else was last programmed.  This is an opportunity for those of you that have done this before to demonstrate some real improvement.  There’s a couple of different ways to go after Tabata intervals, either all out, let the chips fall where they may, with no regard for your score from one interval to the next, or the intended method wherein a score is targeted, and you fight to hit that number every time.

If I’m after score maximization, I prefer the latter.  The all out approach will yield high scores in the early intervals, but could lead to very low scores by the end.  I like to pick a number, and adjust it if needed.  Will I go all out in the last couple rounds for extra points?  Of course, but through the first half to three-quarters of the workout I want a consistent, efficient, point scoring pace.  Whatever way you decide to attack it, Tabata Something Else you will give a great workout.

  1. Room available in my apartment in Bay Village.

A short walk to everything, tree lined streets with gas lanterns. I promise, its a great deal.

3 minutes walk to the orange line, 5 to the greenline.
10 minutes to the South End and 10 minutes to Copley.
    3 blocks from Boston common.

    Free parking.

It is absurd how good a find this apartment is. If you are thinking of moving, now is your chance.
Plus, I keep paleo and drive to Fenway all the time.

Let me know if you’re interested and I’ll forward photos and details.

  2. Subbed front squat (5×5) for press due to shoulder issue.
    PR’d @ 44kg

    Made up for so-so pull-ups & push-ups with fast sit-ups and squats.

  4. Press: 24 kg. A .5 kilo pr! Still needs major work.

WOD: I want to say that I counted 389 reps, and although I was going for broke, somehow I think I might be off? Purple band on the pull-ups.

Great to be back after 2 glorious weeks of R & R & trashy TV!

  5. Press: 40kg
    WOD: 315 rx

Good to be back at it and getting to workout with everyone! I oddly missed hurting everywhere
