Skin the Cat

We’re working skin the cats this week.  This is a great exercise for developing core to extremity strength.  If you’ve been in already this week, and tried it out, you know this movement works your trunk, arms, and legs, as you’re getting a great core exercise with bonus pulling and grip strength required.  Skin the cats also provide a great shoulder stretch, and could definitely be added to your warm up or cool down.SCS_CFF_051010-5340

Wednesday is day 13 of the 100 Burpee Challenge.  It is now 91 burpees if you want to buy in.

The Saint Clair’s are hosting a breakfast this Saturday, June 12th.  It’s sure to be a good time, hanging out with friends from CrossFit Boston, and chowing down.  Click here for more information, and to RSVP.

The Sox are still in Cleveland on Wednesday, so we’ve still got parking at CrossFit Fenway.

  1. I am sore, but I LOVED the 6:30 class!! Such motivation and inspiration. Thanks for calling me out, AGAIN, Haley. I am going to push myself a little more. Maybe I am stronger than I think. Woo-Hoo for the 13 burpees! ~xo K

    1. you are DEFINITELY stronger than you think!! don’t worry, i’ll always be there to call you out and remind you of that! 🙂

  2. Today is a rest day for me but I had to comment on how awesome that picture is . . . I feel like some sort of Rocky-esque theme music should automatically start playing when that picture is on my screen!!!! So awesome! : )

    1. Thank you Shawn for complementing my picture. I have to say, I prefer the way it looks on the crossfit homepage where it looks like I am probably lifting something huge. Then you click on the entry for the day and see the 10 pound dumbbells.

  3. Press: 3@47kg (ties 1 rep PR)
    WOD: 40:25

Well, that pretty much destroyed me. I spent 5 rounds in pure survival-mode.

Thanks to Eric, Dennis, and Haley for cheering me on while I struggled through the end of that guy. Nice job to everyone this morning.

    1. thank you, but a lame animal now. both of my palms tore open on round 7 so the last few rounds of pullups slowed me down… and i almost (twice) knocked my front teeth out doing SDHU’s. i have a feeling Eric P is going to be around 16 mins.

  4. 75kg Press
    25:32 on the WOD

Justin, you absolutely crushed it – those numbers are worthy of CrossFit competitions! No excuses from me, I went all out, every rep and every set was unbroken, I just couldn’t recover quickly enough and needed to breathe and rest too much… def need to work on my endurance.
