Scaling Walls like Spider Man

Well, not quite.  We frequently use wall climbs as a sub for handstand push-ups.  They require a little less balance and strength, but you have to work a little harder for each rep (the scale’s usually worse).  Thursday they’re the prescription.  Feared/detested by some, wall climbs are quite good at developing some of the strength and comfortability upside-down necessary to perform RX handstand push-ups (as are the presses we’ll be practicing earlier in the class).  Let your spidey senses tingle, and see how many rounds you can rack up in this long AMRAP, costume optional.

  1. Press – 35kg
WOD – 5 + 3 @ 45kg, scaled wall climbs to the tape mark on the mat. Wasted way too much time laying there thinking about how terrible the wall climbs were.
