Running and Squats

It’s a simple, no equipment required metcon that can absolutely crush an athlete, especially with the temperatures we’ve had that are supposed to continue Wednesday.  We did this main page mainstay back on May 24th.  Check out this video from CrossFit.com of Chris Spealler and Zac Pine giving it a try (WMV/MOV).  Drink plenty of water, wear your sunblock, and get ready for a sweatfest.

July 7th, 2010

Skill: Turkish Get-ups

Strength: Push press 5-5-5

WOD:
4 rounds for time of:
400m Run
50 Squats

Acupuncture is now available at CrossFit Fenway!  Anna Israel, who many of you already know from class, will be treating CrossFitters and outside patients on Wednesdays from 2 PM to 6 PM.  Anna’s offering a free introductory half hour session for those who want to learn more, but may be a bit apprehensive.  Please contact her for scheduling and more information.

The Sox are out of town until after the All-Star Game, so parking is available all day Wednesday, and will be available throughout the week.

    1. WOD: awful, nearly 15 minutes, well off my best pace from last month. Of course, I tore all the skin off my big toe in lap 1, which did not help my time at all.

On the upside, I’ve increased my Squats by 5kg in the past week. If I can keep gaining strength as I gain pounds… this bodes well. New blog coming soon.

  1. 40 burpees in the sweat lodge, makeup for Tues
    then
    Push-press: 29kg for 5x…and 30 kg for 4.5x (ugh)
    then
    WOD: 13:12 and sweat-tastic
    then
41 burpees in the northern sweat lodge (home)

Nice work everyone, let’s keep scaring the pedestrians 😀
