Playin’ in the Mud

CN Post MudThis past Sunday a few members of CrossFit Fenway took part in the Hoppin’ Mad Mud Run.  Christina Nikitopoulos and Stephanie Schneider both expressed some apprehension about the event, but both did great, and had a great time.  Jim Cushing and Ed Fish also took part.  Whether it’s a trail run, a road race, or a trek through mud and military obstacles, events like these are fun, challenging ways to test your fitness.

Sarah Whiting is heading to the Pineland Farms Trail Running Festival and is offering rides, if anyone else would like to give it a try.  Anyone who wants to should be able to find a race, as there are several of varying distances.

Ring push-ups

Strength: Sumo Deadlift 3-3-3-3-3

WOD:
Complete 5 rounds for time:
7 Push press (50kg/40kg)
40 Lateral jumps over barbell

The Sox are back home for a short series with the Twins, so no parking Wednesday evening.

Programming Note: There will be no evening classes this Friday, May 21st, and no invasion Saturday, May 22nd, as we’ll be headed to Albany to cheer on Stacey, Erica, and other friends of CFF as they compete in the Northeast Regionals for the CrossFit Games.

    I went in thinking it might be one of the hardest things I’ve done… and came out (of the mud) thinking it was one of the most fun! I’m definitely looking forward to more events like this. Thanks Stacey and Eric for all the support, training and encouragement!

    Justin, I think it’s time for you to come to a 6:30 class.. I miss suffering through WODs with you early in the morning haha

  3. Haley and Justin are my idols! I was so gassed after 2 rounds, I could barely do the push press, let alone the 40 laterals! My cardio is garbage!

    1. Crazy talk is always welcome at the 6:30 class, but dizzy WODs are not…
