Nothin’ Special

Thursday’s just another normal day at CrossFit Fenway.  We’re starting off with the deadlift, definitely a personal favorite, and the lift with which we’re generally able to move the most weight.  Let’s see what you can pull for a set of 3.  For conditioning we’ve got a 3 round triplet of running, hang squat snatches, and box jumps.  This is another rep scheme/workout that we see with some regularity, and I really like it, because you can move quickly and unbroken throughout.  Yup, nothing out of the ordinary, just picking up heavy stuff, and getting fit, fast as you can.

September 8, 2011
Strength: Deadlift 3-3-3-3-3

3 Rounds:
400m Run
12 Hang Squat Snatches (35kg/25kg)
21 Box Jumps (24″/20″)

FIGHT GONE BAD 6: Less than 2 weeks left to register, fundraise, and prepare for Fight Gone Bad 6.  This year the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, the Infant Swim Resource, and Camp Patriot are benefiting from the fundraising efforts.  We’ll be running heats at CrossFit Fenway on Saturday morning, September 17th in lieu of an invasion workout.  Athletes of all abilities are welcome, and encouraged to sign up and join in this amazing community event as a part of the CrossFit Fenway team.

Mama Said Knock You Out! On November 5th CrossFit Legitimus in Canton, Connecticut is hosting a CrossFit competition for moms only.  Click here to register for one of the 60 available entries, and for more information, including the first 3 workouts.

Shane, I’m still happy to trade my hanging squat snatches for your box jumps.

  1. DL: 85kg
    WOD: 19:34, and scale-tastic

Today was about getting the form correct, on all three parts of this hell. Tired but happy as I type.

    1. KP it has been way too long. I may have to set an alarm and get myself in early to see you. What class are you taking these days?
