In honor of Chief Petty Officer Nate Hardy, who was killed Sunday February 4th during combat operations in Iraq. Nate is survived by his wife, Mindi, and his infant son Parker.

This Friday we’ve got a Hero.  The workout honoring CPO Nathan Hardy is one of my favorites, short reps, challenging movements, and as much work as you can get done in 20 minutes.  Due to the strength and skill required to attempt Nate, we are offering a similar, alternate, scaled workout as well.

Fight Gone Bad has raised more than $2 million in its first four editions.  This year LIVESTRONG, Wounded Warrior Project, and the CrossFit Foundation are benefiting from the fundraising efforts.  On Saturday, September 25th we’ll be running our heats.  Justin Shaughnessy has raised $1,800 to date, ranking him first among all fundraisers! CrossFit Fenway has raised a combined $2,325, placing us 6th among all affiliates.  Register today, and join the fight as part of the CrossFit Fenway team.

Please let Eric know if you’re registered to run in the BAA Half Marathon, or for the Beast of the East Throwdown at CrossFit New England, so we can coordinate leading up to the events.

The Red Sox are back on the road, taking on the MFYs in an important series this weekend, and into next week.  Parking will be available all day Friday at CrossFit Fenway.

    1. Great meeting you tonight at the 6pm class. Thanks for the shoulder work and pointers. I will incorporate the ball work into my routine. I’m from NJ so I’ll have to check you out when I come down to visit my family in S. Jersey! -YY

  2. Loved this one, should have been faster but it was tough to get my big ass up on those rings for the last few rounds.

  3. Hi Everyone… this just got posted by the CrossFit & Fight Gone Bad pages on facebook…

CrossFitters: We need your help over on Fight Gone Bad 5. A sponsor agreed to donate $10K in small increments to teams that Tweet their fund-raising URL with the #fgb tag. Deadline is 1700 PDT TONIGHT. If you haven’t set up your page yet, can you head over there and get it going and then Tweet? These are great causes we’re supporting — folks who really need our help. Thanks! If anyone needs help, email directly.

If you’re participating in FGB, you should make a twitter and do this! Let’s keep CFF in the Top 10!

    1. Thanks for posting this Haley! I’ll tweet the donation page link of the first person (from CrossFit Fenway) who replies to this with their link.
