We’ve been doing a lot of good work on snatches and overhead squats recently. This Friday is your chance to see how you’re progressing, and test yourself against Nancy. This benchmark last came up for us on April 30th. Run fast, and do everything in your power to not break up those overhead squats.

A couple of your CrossFit Fenway teammates are rowing in the Head of the Charles this weekend. Petar Lovric is rowing on Saturday at 11:08 AM in the Men’s Alumni event for the defending champs, the Northeastern Alumni. Ed Smith is rowing at 2 PM on Saturday in the Men’s Masters event with the Evergreen Club, Dartmouth Alumni. It’s free to watch, just head down to the banks of the Charles, and cheer hard for our guys.
Work on your agility, coordination, and balance. Join your CrossFit Fenway friends at the Havana Club in Central Square on Saturday, October 23rd at 9 PM, for a night of salsa dancing, socializing, and fun. Lessons and libations are available to help you learn the moves. Like any WOD, proper footwear can help performance, so try to avoid rubber-soled shoes that will grip the floor and make turning more difficult.
Compete in the most physically demanding obstacle course available on Saturday, November 13th in Marshfield at Ruckus Boston 2010. Stephanie Schneider is helping to organize the CrossFit Fenway team. Please contact her if you’d like to participate, as discounts are available for teams.
