Garage Games: Registration is now open for the New England Finals to be held at CrossFit Southie on November 12th and 13th.  Competitors in the RX division need to be proficient with all barbell movements at 95#/65# and able to do unassisted pull-ups.  Scaled division athletes need similar competence at 65#/45# and able to do purple-banded pull-ups.  Click here to sign up.

  3. It was great coaching this morning, and seeing so many of you that I don’t see often enough. Both classes gave great efforts across the board, and were a blast to work with. It was also nice to have a request for my music, as opposed to the usual requests to turn it off.

    1. I enjoy The Clash anyway, but even more so when it’s a way to avoid Adele and/or the Chris Isaak/Billy Idol mashup. Making a couple of sweet mixes is on my to-do list.

  4. eric, excellent job handling the crazy 630 class. the demo for the 730 of the wall climb, forward roll into a pistol into a box jump was quite amazing.

    wod: 5+15 rx. my pull ups were sucky again today and i really, really need to work on my kip. but, on the plus side, did all the HSPU!

    1. i just had a midday revelation!!! i was TOTALLY on pull ups when time was called, and i think i was 7 in, so my score should actually be 5+20. i guess i felt that bad about my pull ups that i decided to immediately forget the last 7 i did.

  6. Mary – 9 + 29 (heavily scaled)

    HSPUs weren’t in the cards and never have been (something I need to fix), so I did 10 push ups instead of 5 HSPUs. As much as I wanted to do pistols, my legs weren’t cooperating so I did 20 air squats instead of 10 pistols. The pull ups were good though (with less scaling than in the past (Green and red)). Just needed one more pull up for a 10!
