Making Fast Faster

Sharing its name with a suddenly rejuvenated action movie series, Fast and Furious was programmed for the 2010 New England Sectional.  We’re programming it Thursday without the competition requirements of full-foot-on box jumps, chest-to-bar pull-ups, and catch-every-rep wall ball in an effort to push the pace, and make this a workout you can really attack.  This is not the workout to stop for a drink, or to chalk up.  Of course, you can still go at it with the Sectional standards, just keep in mind that the 15 minute cap that was in place at the event is in effect tomorrow.

WOD: 11:36 Rx (not scaled up)
First hand rip in a long time. Thank you 60 pull-ups!

  2. FS: 53KG pr

WOD: 14:35 with 10# wall ball for 15 then i missed the target about 7 times in a row, so i switched to 8# for the rest. everything else Rx, and I too, ripped, but for the first time! woo!

  3. FS-66kg pr
WOD: 10:40 (scaled/2 reds on PUs and 10#WB)

congrats to Cal and Shorty, for both PRs and for shedding blood in the gym today. It’s a rite of passage around here!

  4. FS: 112kg PR by 6kg. Pretty excited about that.
    WOD: 9:24 Rx.
Would love to try this one again once I get better at C2B. 60 just seems a little out of my reach right now.

  5. FS: 90kg – 5kg PR
WOD: Took the whole 15 minutes, then some. Push-ups are ridiculously slow, even with a purple band.

    Good luck in Australia, Mandy!

  6. FS — 50kg, not a PR even for 2RM. Frustrating.

WOD — 13:26 (20″ box and u/a pull-ups but 10# WB). This might have been the first time I held onto my kip throughout an entire WOD.

    FS: 53.5 kg… PR

WOD: 15:52… 24″ box, purple band, 10# ball… I really need to work on wall ball… I do some funky wrist-twist thing — I have homework!
