Less Than 4 Weeks ’til FGB6!

Fight Gone Bad 6 is less than 4 weeks away.  We’ve got a good team assembled thus far, but there’s always room for more.  If you’d like to support the cause, and participate in the workout on Saturday, September 17th please register here.

Now’s the time to make a big fundraising push, and it couldn’t be easier.  If you can send an e-mail to 20 friends, family members, and coworkers explaining what this event means to you, and politely askingh for a donation of $5 to $10, that could quickly result in $100 to $200 raised (please remember to send a follow up thank you note).  If you’re not sure how to begin crafting your message, please let me know.  Just as I want to do whatever I can to help you maximize your score on the workout, I also want to assist you in reaching your fundraising goals.

Announcements

Did the excitement of the CrossFit Games get your competitive juices flowing?  Well you’re in luck!  The North East Fire Breather Festival, the first event in the new North East Garage Games Series will be held at CrossFit New England on Saturday, September 24th and Sunday the 25th.  There will be 3 events on Saturday with RX and scaled divisions (men and women competing in the RX division must be able to clean 155# and 105# respectively, 115# and 80# in the scaled division). There will be 2 additional events on Sunday for those that qualify.  All abilities and ages are welcome.  Register here and let your coaches know if you’re interested in putting your training to the test.

    WOD: 10:49 Rx (@40lbs)

    Thrusters started to really suck after the 7th round of them. Great WOD.

  2. split jerk: 33kg, not a PR on account of my back being SO sore from deadlifts on saturday

    WOD: 10:18 Rx (@25#). My 100m got SO slow toward the end, i think i was barely moving.

  3. Push jerk – 30kg PR

    WOD: 10:24 with 20# dumbbells (I think about 18% of my bodyweight). Was tempted to try 25# but decided against it. Maybe next time…
