Undoubtedly recycled wall ball pic

Karen is like rowing a 2k, but with the erg fighting back.  It’s the same move over, and over, and over, and over, and over again 150 times.  We last saw her on April 2nd.  The target hasn’t gotten any lower, and the standards for the movement haven’t gotten any less stringent, but let’s see if you can step up the weight, and cut down the time this Friday.

WOD: Karen

150 Wall Ball Shots (20#/14#)

Fight Gone Bad has raised more than $2 million in its first four editions. This year LIVESTRONG, Wounded Warrior Project, and the CrossFit Foundation are benefiting from the fundraising efforts. On Saturday, September 25th we’ll be running our heats. CrossFit Fenway has raised a combined $5,706. Register today, and join the fight as part of the CrossFit Fenway team.

Free parking is available in the lot around CrossFit Fenway all day Friday.

  1. 25:36: R motherf**kin’ X!!! AND NO INHALER!!!

OK…so the time sucks, and the last 15 felt like rocks were being thrown at me, but I did it. Huge thanks to both the 6:30 and 7:30 (including Joe) crews for their support, and Stace for the “brain worms.” Also thanks to Eric, for challenging me to do it in the first place…my love to all.

      1. if you guys get married, does that mean that the much talked about the lennon & yoko photo will actually happen? 🙂

SO proud of you, KP .. awesome effort, inspiring to watch! you rock.

first time doing karen today, and she is a bitch. 9:39 rx

        1. That is awesome, Kristin! So…..to sum up in two days worth of efforts: When I saw you yesterday, you pulled your PR for your new 1 rep max. Now, today, you RX’ed the shit outta this.

Alotta fun to watch the progression. Congrats!

    1. You forgot to mention the wall ball induced tourettes!

Well Karen, not only have you made most parts of my body sore, but I think you might make me start to develop adult onset acne, seeing as I tried to throw the last 30 dirt-covered wallballs with my face.

22:28 14# to the blue tape

  2. Shoulder still hurting, so instead of 150 wall balls, I had 150 front squats at 35kg (per Joe’s suggestion). Wall balls don’t look fun, but neither are 150 front squats.

Now I’m away for two weeks (work & vacation), so it’s time to get that shoulder right.

  3. Ehhh. Karen, you kind of owned me. 15:02, 10# to the tape. On the plus side, unassisted ring dips…3-2-2-1-1-1.

Fantastic work by everyone at 5:30 and 6:30.

Brain-worm of the day (paraphrased): “If you can yell ‘m*****f****r’ and then say ‘sorry,’ you can put the ball up again!”

    1. If you can’t utter a “sorry” after it, are you exempt from putting the ball up again?

I’m saving all of my swearing today for this one tonight.
