Named workouts conjure up different memories and feelings for everyone.  We’ve all got our favorites and least favorites, as well as things we associate with some of them.  When I think of Jackie, the first thing that comes to mind for me is Kristin Pineo.  Jackie was her free trial, and first CrossFit workout on January 8th, 2010.  I’m pretty sure she used 8# dumbbells for the thrusters, but she got through it.  Last time we did it on June 11th KP used more weight, less assistance on the pull-ups, and went faster.  Kristin’s been killing it lately, getting strong and using less inhaler.  I know she’s looking forward to trying this again, getting as close to prescribed as possible, and shaving more time off her score.

    Did not pace well. Also used too much arm on the thrusters, and was fatigued by the time I hit the pull-up structure.

    hopefully the rowing tips will help shave some time off of this. i was the last one rowing (probably a minute of solo rowing) Thought about using just a green band but snuck a red one on there at the last minute (chicken – bawk!)
    The last time we did thrusters I had to use dumbbells so using the bar was improvement! yeah!!!

    Had a goal of sub 10, so I am happy with this time. Really need to improve pull-ups, though. Far too many singles.

  5. 12:16 with red and purple bands. Was pretty happy with my row, and even had a long string of thrusters (30) before I had to put the bar down.
