  1. OMG, do you guys recall how hot it was when we did this in July? I think Mary and I did it together in the evening and it was at least 95 degrees inside. Ah, the CF memories.

  2. This one was for you Staff Sgt. Martin.

Great job on Jack this morning everyone.

As some of you may know, my brother is currently serving in Afghanistan and I’m taking part in collecting holiday cards for hospitalized and injured veterans. The American Red Cross has teamed up with Pitney Bowes in a campaign called “Holidays for Heros” and I purchased a bunch of holiday greeting cards and left them at CrossFit Fenway. Please feel free to sign 1 or 10 of them and place in the envelope, I’ll take care of mailing the bunch next Friday, December 9th! It’s a simple way to say thanks and happy holidays to those who’ve lost so much while serving.

  3. big things happening today…

    first off, in honor of Sgt. Martin – 7rds + 6 (40kg, 1pd, 24″)

second, congrats to my buddy Kevin for surviving his first WOD (he killed it today, actually).

thirdly, congrats to Stacey and Matt on their new house (housewarming WOD soon?)

and last but certainly not the least, HAPPY 60th BIRTHDAY to my dad. who, along with my mom, just started doing CrossFit this year. and today, he got this special present from his box:

can we do The Archie sometime soon?

    1. YOUR DAD IS SO ADORABLE. happy birthday to him and congrats to both your parents on starting crossfit! you should have your whole fam come visit some morning!

  4. jen k. i distinctly remember that day. even at 7:30 it was awful and we tried to use the shade of the building, but as the workout went on more and more people were losing the shade to sun rise.

    7/22: 6+15 with 25kg push press, 24kg swings and 24″ box jumps
    12/2: 6+23 with 25kg push press, 24kg swings and 24″ box jumps

I was really hoping I’d see much more of an improvement, since it was so hot last time, but I think I was a little bit too conservative on my pace today.

    1. Cal, you just reminded me of that. It was so bloody hot. My box was in the sun, but my push press was not. It was one of the only times I’d looked forward to the push-press over a box jump.

  5. Jack 7/22: 6 rounds plus 10 reps Rx

    Jack 12/2: 8 rounds Rx

Did the workout outside and it was awesome. Great way to start the week!

  6. So sad that I am missing this WOD …
More sad that I will be taking my CFA instead of Invasion WOD tomorrow!!
