Tuesday’s all about jerks. Whether you’re using a push or a split as you work towards a one rep max, you’ve done this before. We literally did this exercise and rep scheme on April 21st, but what I really mean is the driver of a good jerk is an explosive opening of the hips, and in CrossFit we all do plenty of that. Box jumps, kettlebell swings, cleans, snatches, wall ball shots, and many other movements require a fast, aggressive extension of the hip for best execution. Tuesday we’re applying that energy we’re so familiar generating to put the bar straight overhead.
Conditioning for Tuesday is a 10 minute version of Cindy, which we last did on April 7th. 20 minute Cindy was most recently an option on June 25th. This is a 10 minute sprint, and your goal should be at least a couple more rounds than half your full Cindy score.
Skill: Dot Drill
