Invasion: Jamaica Pond

Meet tomorrow morning at 10 AM by the benches where Jamaicaway becomes Pond Street at Jamaica Pond for an invasion WOD.  I don’t normally announce the workout in advance, but tomorrow we’ll be doing Murph.

WOD: Murph

Complete for time:

Run 1 mile

100 Pull-ups

200 Push-ups

300 Squats

Run 1 mile

The pull-ups, push-ups, and squats may be partitioned however you like.  If you have a 20# weight vest, wear it.

  1. As made clear on the map above, everybody wanting to participate in tomorrow’s Invasion should meet in the exact middle of Jamaica Pond. Your warmup will be swimming back to dry land.

    Extra points for anybody who wants to do their squats under water.

  2. No exaggeration, I was TERRIFIED of this workout. Seriously, I was nervous about it when I went to bed last night and was pretty darn close to totally psyching myself out before going today. What if I get injured . . . what if I can’t finish . . . what if, what if, what if?!

    But I went . . . and, along with the rest of you ridiculously awesome people, walked right up to big Murph and gave him a 62 minute hug!

    Really guys and gals, I hope you’re all very proud of yourselves because we accomplished something very special today. 🙂

  3. I am with Shawn as I was worried to meet Murphy today. When i first started at Crossfit at the end of December, my first invasion was angie (100 pullup, 100 pushups, 100 situps, 100 squats) and I could not do more than 5 pull ups in a row WITH BANDS. I was really excited I was able to do 20 sets of 5 Pullups without any bands (I now have the torns hands to prove it).

    I cannot thank Stacey, Eric, TJ, and all of the Fenway Crossfitters enough for creating such an awesome environment!

    Also, so great to train with Wellemeyer again. Can’t wait until his next visit. AND I wanted to give Kristin a special “shout out” for coming out and cheering us on and bringing us gatorade (so thoughtful) Have a great weekend!

  4. Well, THAT hurt. 😀 I’m pretty wiped. Special thanks to Kristin for bringing the Gatorade, to Wellemeyer for an awesome guest appearance, and to Mr.Osborne for a little extra motivation on the last mile and a half.
