Happy New Year!

Thursday is the last class at CrossFit Fenway for 2010.  It’s been a great year, and we’re looking forward to an even better 2011.  Over this weekend look back and celebrate all that’s gone right in 2010, but also take a little time to consider any failures over the past year.  Think about them, and imagine how they could have been turned into successes.  Any time we’re not at our best is an opportunity to grow, and do it better next time.  Use all that you’ve learned throughout 2010, and prepare for big things in 2011.  Happy New Year!

    My first year of Crossfit has been a life changing experience. I learned the fundamentals of Crossfit and applied them with courage and resolve. I overcame a few nagging injuries, set a lot pr’s and attached the acronym “RX” to most of my times. 2011 will be about mastering my form, conquering the movements which still challenge me (i.e. – DU, HSPU, MU), setting new PR’s, and push pressing Yosh for max reps.

    I want to thank all of the CFF coaches for calling me out on “no rep”, screaming to me “get back on the bar”, and pushing me to limits I would never be able to do on my own. You all inspire me.

    “We will open the book. Its pages are blank. We are going to put words on them ourselves. The book is called Opportunity and its first chapter is called “GET ON IT”.

    1st time back in 10 days. It was great to be there, but I felt a bit rusty. 33.5kg pp – which is a pr for 5×5… 15:09 for the WOD, definitely not rx.

  5. WOD: 12:16 Rx

    Pushing off the bar is an important part of the kipping pull-up, as demonstrated by my complete failure to do so today and my resulting inability to string reps together. Shoulders, elbows, and wrists are thoroughly smoked from the past three days’ efforts. It has been a good week.

  6. Push Press: 32kg which was previously my 3 rep max.

    WOD: 16:02 with some questionable pull ups. Purple band (should’ve used more assistance…) and 25kg dead lifts.
