Elizabeth

Elizabeth was last programmed on July 23rd, 2010.  During an evening class on that day Aaron “Lightshow” Landes made his impromptu CrossFit Fenway coaching debut.  While preparing the class for this very workout Aaron delivered a now famous 45 minute lecture on all things squat clean.  The rest, as they say, is history.  It’s only fitting that Elizabeth be programmed for tomorrow.

Support the Team!

Regionals are right around the corner, and the CrossFit Fenway team is training hard, readying themselves to represent our box against the best athletes the Northeast has to offer.  Be there to support our athletes Friday, June 17th, Saturday, June 18th, and Sunday, June 19th at Reebok World Headquarters in Canton, MA.

  1. 11:08 at 95# and red band on dips.

Two thoughts I’d like to share this morning:
    1. This is my favorite rep scheme
    2. I really hope that this page and photo become the top result when Aaron googles himself.

    1. I just tried it, and unfortunately all I got was a bunch of useless info about his baseball career. however, if you google aaron “lightshow” landes (which is how most people would probably do it anyway), it TOTALLY works.

  2. That’s the kind of photo that caption contests are made of.

    Elizabeth in July 2010: 33# and red & purple dips — 12:17
Elizabeth in June 2011: 95# and red dips — 15:50

  3. If any of you were wondering why “It’s only fitting that Elizabeth be programmed” today (as I was) it’s because today is Aaron’s last day at CFF…

July 2010 Elizabeth: 12:13 @ 30kg and red & purple dips (and apparently crappy form on my squat cleans)
    June 2011 Elizabeth: 16:14 @ 45kg and purple dips.

Not psyched about the time being 4 minutes longer, but am glad that the form is better, barbell weight is up, and less bands were used.

  4. WOD: apparently my hand is hurt somehow and i can’t clean. so subbed 25# DB thrusters for 21. then scaled up to 35# for the rest. purple on dips. 800m run at the end. 13:29.

  5. 18:35. 95#/2 red bands Just recently made the drop from purple.

I don’t remember 95# cleans being so hard.

  6. 6/3/11 – 14:25 at 35kg, purple & red band
    7/23/10 – 17:12 at 25kg, purple band

(did something to my shoulders lately hence the more bands) but I’ll gladly take a faster time with heavier weight on the squat cleans!
