    1. Sandon, I am jealous of your clean form – it was meticulous the whole time; I definitely need to do some homework so I can stop jacking myself up!

  1. Good to be back after over a week away from the box.

WOD – 8:53 @ 40kg. Probably could’ve done more weight, but was unfamiliar with this workout and didn’t know how I’d hold up. My hang power cleans were anything but clean (in fact, Shruj told me I was actually doing reverse curls, which explains why my forearms are still screaming). Gotta work on that.

Now, off on a cruise for a week. I’m on a boat! Don’t worry, I’m bringing travel WODs.

  2. DNF (4 rounds + 17 @ 60kg). Humbling.

Deadlifts and jerks were easy and unbroken. I could not get the hang cleans done to save my life. I have been working on cleans specifically since June, but I just can’t get the technique down.

  3. 10:38 @ 45kg

big thanks to tiff & shruj (hello, muscle ups!!) for pushing me & helping me count reps/rounds … and for taking care of my bloody hands after!

    1. Haley, awesome job today – I love when you get pissed at the bar – it’s pretty bad-ass!

      11:40 @ 50kg – crappy “power” cleans

      1. hahaha name the time and place and i’m there – i’ll do my best to keep up!

justin, kristin & i had special Life As Rx shirts on in your honor today.. where were you???

  4. Thanks for posting your loads everyone, it helps me determine my scale. Excited for my first hero even though its not going to be RX’ed

  5. As I said to everyone at the 7:30 session, that turned out to be a test of grip strength for me. A test I did not pass. Brutal on the forearms.

Cleans continue to be a problem for me, so it’s great seeing it in the programming.

    15:19 – 45kg.

    1. So true about the grip strength. In fact, when I was doing one of the cleans (or reverse curls due to my bad form), I lost my grip and flung the bar a few feet in front of me. Hold on tight!

  6. WoD: 20:06 with 70kg DeadLift and 60kg clean and jerk.
Fourarms are sore, can’t hold on to my water cup, Wrists are sore….

Not done yet quick rest then 30 Pullups and 30 Push ups with 20kg plate.
Nice little 30min work out. I am dead and ready for the weekend.

  7. I actually felt like I cheated today, I thought w my bad shoulder I should go light WOD 6:34 @ 40kg… So Joe had me do 2 more rounds 50kg.. Probably should of done the WOD @ 55kg..it was nice to workout early in the morning..

    1. 16:20 @ 60kg. Glad I made it through, and racing to the finish with Eric was just right.

(70kg would have been a big DNF and two injured wrists, BTW)
