Don’t Drop the Ball

Thursday’s conditioning work may hit every element of fitness.  Mental fitness will also be tested, as some serious concentration and perseverance may be required.  It can all be summed up, though, by the title of this entry.  You’ll be running while carrying your ball, and tossing your ball at a target well over (most) of your heads, all the while not letting the vinyl coated polyester hit the pavement, because it will carry a penalty.  Burpees.  Five of them.  Have fun, but don’t drop the ball.

Skill: Pistols

Strength: High Bar Back Squat 5-5-5

WOD: Complete 3 Rounds for Time of:
550m Run carrying a Med Ball
12 Wall Ball

*Prescribed weight for the all movements with the med ball is 20#/14#.  If the ball touches the ground at any point during the workout 5 burpees must be completed before the ball is picked back up, and the workout resumed.

The CrossFit Fenway Endurance program is filling up fast.  Be sure and e-mail Eric to get more information, and reserve your spot.

The Red Sox have a rest day on Thursday, so we’ve got parking all day at CrossFit Fenway.  How else could we program this madness?

On Monday, July 5th North Shore CrossFit will be hosting a team workout at 10 AM.  The WOD is Trevor (teams of 4, 300 pull-ups, 400 push-ups, 500 sit-ups, 600 squats.  2 team members may work at a time).  This is not a stressful competition, just good old fashioned fun.  Please let Eric know if you’d like to attend by this Saturday, July 3rd, so we can RSVP.

    Wod- 14:27 RX … only one set of burpees, which for me is a big improvement.

    Anybody else interested in that team WOD? Let’s do it!
