CrossFit Games Open 2011.6

The 2011 CrossFit Games Open is finally coming to a close.  I wouldn’t say it’s been the best 7 weeks of CrossFit I’ve had, but going through a competition “season” was a new, at times enjoyable experience.  I’ve definitely learned a lot over the last couple of months, and I hope all of our competitors take something positive from this time too.  At the very least, all who set out to get through the 6 workouts can hold their heads high, having not just survived, but thrived, helping propel CrossFit Fenway to a top ranking in the Northeast, and a likely berth to the Regional team competition.

Friday is your chance to try the last workout of the competition.  It’s on the short side, but not so short that you can mindlessly sprint forward without a plan.  Decide how you want to attack it, give it hell, see how you stack up, and maybe we’ll see you out there competing in next year’s Open.

Thanks Les

  1. 60 reps @25 kg .. Loved working out with 6:30.. Thank you Jen (honorary coach for the day) & Stacey for pushing me today! Congratulations to everyone who has participated in the Open Games & Good luck tomorrow.. You guys are legends..!

  2. Baseline — 5:11Rx. PR but I was hoping to go sub-5. New rowing strategy is to row 500m after every WOD and to give myself a 30-burpee penalty anytime I stop rowing during a WOD.

    11.6 — 70 reps w/regular pull-ups.

Preemptive congrats to all of our competitors for making it through a lot of hellish Game Day and Open WODs in the last few months. Crush 11.6!

  3. Ana and I were lululemon twins this morning but Julie, we got the EXACT same score: 68 @ 30kg and 2 reds.

Congrats to all of our competitors for pushing through the last six weeks. You guys are an inspiration to the rest of us and I am so, so, so proud of you.
