CrossFit Fenway Worldwide: Cal in Colorado

Cal was in Colorado this past summer.  Her hike into Rattlesnake Canyon wasn’t scaled up, and she’s not kicked up into a handstand or in a perfect L-hold, but she is representing with a sweet CFF t-shirt.  The shot at left was taken to show the scale and grandeur of the arch.  A quick search of the interwebs, and this looks like East Rim Arch, which has a span of 40 feet and an opening height of 120 feet.  Thanks for sharing the excellent photo Cal!

Are you going somewhere, or doing something interesting this weekend?  Snap a quick pic, send it over, along with a sentence or two about what you were doing and we’ll make you semi-famous.

  1. we did actually end up rock climbing up one of the arches at the end of the hike! so maybe that was some crossfit in real life?

LBBS: 50kg. I felt pretty strong in my last set so I think I could’ve done more, but my previous 3 rep max was 50kg.

WOD: 6:03 with double red bands for dips and Rx on the lunges. Hindsight, I should’ve just used one red band. Lunges are the worst part in this one, especially after squatting! Power through them!

  2. It looks like Cal is actually scaling up her handstand by doing it inverted (because you know – anything done inverted is more difficult)… Nice work!

    LBBS – 115 kg (5 rep PR)
WOD – 13:25 with purple bands.

As far as those lunges, I’m sure I won’t be walking well the next few days.

  3. LBBS: 45kg
WOD: 10:53, 2 red bands after 1 red band on 1st round, 20 lb dbs

(next time should do 25 dbs…happy my back is feeling better!)
