Busting Our (Med) Balls

Tuesday the Lungenslam is back.  It may not have its own Wikipedia page (yet), but this is still an explosive, dare I say fun movement.  Basically a moving med ball slam, the Lungenslam requires use of your entire body, especially on the slam.  The more force you use to hurl that vinyl-coated polyester sphere at the ground, the quicker you’ll be able to get onto the next rep.  Let’s hope our balls can handle it.

  1. Nice job, Sam! I’ll order you a t-shirt too when I get mine. 🙂

I had a fun noon session – it was great to meet some new people!

    Jerk: 50kg
WOD: 19:55 I think – for the record, the scaling for the ladies wasn’t written on the board. Otherwise i would have faced my fear of the 24″ box for a full RX. 14#, 20″, 16kg.

    1. Obviously, I need to write a blog post about scaling, and why “for the ladies” is not something I choose to embrace at CFF. Go ahead and go for the 24″ box.

  2. Thanks for stopping by the noon class, Jen. I hope you’ll join us again sometime.

Push Jerk: 65kg – Same as a month ago. Failed after 70×2.
WOD: 18:38 Rx – My lower back was screaming during the 2nd set of KB swings and for the rest of the workout. I blame the 150 deadlifts from yesterday.

  3. Push Jerk: 100kg, need to learn the split
WOD: 11:17, 5 seconds behind Justin… i tried, but just didn’t have any gas left…
