Beating the Mondays

I love my job, but sometimes I still get a case of the Mondays.  Heading into the gym, loading up a bar, getting after it, and working with all of the outstanding people that come through our doors is just the thing to take care of that blah feeling.  This Monday’s programming is perfect for kicking your day into high gear.

The metcon is programmed for you to really attack it.  No gaming, and no reason to put the bar down.  In fact you’ll probably have to break up the push-ups before breaking up the thrusters.  We’ve got 1RM deadlifts on the menu for strength, the lift that generally allows us to move the most weight. I don’t know about you, but nothing fires me up, and gets my day going in the right direction quite like picking up heavy sh*t.  Well that, and maybe destroying some office hardware.

    DL: 105kg
    WOD: 3 + 8 at 35kg, red band on pull ups

  2. DL: WAY off my PR – Failed 355lbs. (I think about 161kg)

    Interesting couple of days for me – had a DNF on Friday and missed a lift that I used to be able to do relatively easily. Will have to do some serious figuring out to see how to bounce back.

    Power Cleans (135lb)
    Push-ups (20)
    Air Squats (30)
    Sit-ups (30)
