The workout for tomorrow, February 26th, 2010 is Barbara.100_0776

5 rounds timed individually of:

20 pull-ups

30 push-ups

40 sit-ups

50 squats

Rest 3 minutes between each round.

Each round is a sprint.  This is a test of your ability to quickly recover, and your goal should be to do each round just as fast, if not faster than the previous one.  The rest period is just long enough to let you catch your breath, but not long enough to make the next round seem appealing.  This is a tough one, physically and mentally, but I have confidence you’ll all put up a strong showing.

We’ve been nominated! CrossFit Fenway has been nominated as one of the best gyms in Boston by the Boston Phoenix.  You can go here to vote for us (once a day per e-mail address), and other great Boston businesses.  Be sure to complete the survey by entering your name and e-mail address, otherwise your vote won’t count.

  1. Barbara, you’re one tough broad but the mighty 5:30 team had your number. In fact, I’d go so far as to say that the 5:30 and 6:30 morning classes will be the most kick-ass teams of the day. Yeah, I said it!!! (ROAR)

Awesome work today everyone and another really great week. Also happy to see that the sun is peeking out . . . hopefully it holds til tomorrow for another kick-ass invasion (note to Stacey: that doesn’t mean that we should shoot for a 2 hour workout this time! :p lol).

  2. 30:49 as RX’d. Glad to see more people joining the 5:30 maniacs, no better place to wake up than at Crossfit Fenway. Good luck to all today, Barbara puts up a good fight.

  3. I am telling ya the morning classes rock…PM will really have to step it up!

**Hint: If you can keep the sit ups and the squats moving and unbroken (no matter how slow you go) your time will be much faster. It is all mental right?? 🙂

  4. First off Stacey – I’m pretty sure at one point it was not a mental block I was having but a physical block where I thought a car was on my back! That being said, I’m not complaining it was an awesome workout and great way to start the day.

After my date with Barbara, I felt like I was doing the walk of shame as I left her arms. Head down, through the gym door – couldnt speak to anyone.

Of course, I was late for work because when I got home I needed to lay down for 20 minutes to clear the stars from my field of vision.

Bottom line – it was fantastic, and I almost caught Justin which would’ve made my day. I have the benefit of a pace car though, which he doesnt, but Stacey yelling at you can be quite motivating.

    1. Ryan, you are hilarious bro! I was pumped that I finished about the same time as Justin on the first one . . . until I realized that we still had 4 more rounds to do and reminded myself that he does pull-ups without bands. DOH! LOL

      Happy Birthday Eric!

  5. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Year 26 is going to be a tough one to top, but I think being surrounded by this wonderful group of people could make 27 even better.

Great work by everyone this morning. I’m watching the noon crew crush Barbara right now, and I’m expecting big things at 5 PM and 6 PM.

  6. 6pm smashed it – great way to finish the day! Wonderful efforts all around. K-Mack was beastly, and Cahill damn near turned into the Hulk.

JT: 30:29. (Red band on the pullups…)
