wow, this looks like a sick workout!
its nasty, and harder when you reverse curl instead of clean like i do
haha
step 1: acknowledge the problem
step 2: fix the problem
40:54 @ 63#/two red bands.
“His fellow SEALs gave him the nickname Badger after the small but ferocious animal. The name was bestowed after Carter (5’5″) beat a 6’5″ opponent in a wrestling match.”
In your honor, Badger.
How do you change your picture???
Create an account at gravatar.com. Use the same email address there and here and it will magically show up.
40:52, I think, at 63# and purple band on the pull ups.
Being back at CFF this morning was the highlight of my week!
The only downside to the a/m WODs is it’s all downhill from there 🙂
Same here Jen. It was awesome being back! Nice work today!
37:54 at 25kg and green&red pull-ups.
Certainly wasn’t easy, but if I could do these 90 pull-ups with green and red, I will not ever use green and purple again. Thanks KP!
Told you!!! 🙂
Congrats, Jules.
38:19 (63#, purple & red)
That workout was all mental for me. I shouldn’t have let 90 psyche me into dropping the bar or upping my bands. But it felt rad to show up and push through, especially after considering just hitting snooze this morning. Great start to the day.
Strength Bias programming called for press today (did 60kgx3 and 95#x13), and metcon 20 minutes or less. It would not have felt right to short change Badger, though.

Did you do your lifts before or after today’s WOD? If you did it before, those pull-ups must have really sucked.
Before, and they sure did.
Really looking forward to giving this one my all.
Yosh, I bet you could do this twice in the time it will take me to do it once tonight.. seriously. I think for the rest of my life, whenever I read “30 pullups”, I will immediately have flashbacks to the 4th wod at beast. and we all know how that went..
Yosh, when are you going?
CrossFit Fenway is now on beyondthewhiteboard.com, and the workouts from this past week have been entered. I believe it’s $3 a month to join. Check it out.
That’s great! I just submitted my request to join CFF on beyondthewhiteboard.
Folks, I highly recommend BTWB. I’ve been using it for a few months, and it is a great resource. It is especially useful for graphing your lifts over time, unless you get some deep satisfaction from flipping through a notebook trying to find your previous PR.
Enh, I just use the WOD app for my iPhone, myself.
There are plenty of options for logging your workouts, but the benefit of beyondthewhiteboard over the others is that the CFF WODs will be posted so you won’t have to manually enter the workout details yourself, just the result.
Another benefit of BTWB is that you can track yourself against everybody else at the gym, or across the entire CrossFit Community.

Nathan beat me by 1 second! Wish we did this one at the same time. Would’ve been a fun sprint to the finish.
I would have liked that. I’m sure we would both have gotten better times with a little added motivation. Chasing Sandon through the squat cleans definitely made me go faster*.
* “fast” is a relative term when it comes to me doing squat cleans
46:02 24kg, 1p/1r
Beyond evil, (especially trying to breathe in the cold), but sooo glad I finished.
Thanks, Stace, for the oh-so-flexible 30 min cap… 😉
Sorry to miss this. Got a bad cold this week. I am so impressed at everyone’s accomplishments this morning! This WOD is scary to even read, let alone finish. You all did it with such enthusiasm, you should be proud. Congrats!!
38 minutes even.
95# on the squat cleans (yeah) but had to use a purple band on the pullups (WTF). Must-get-better-at-kipping.
wod: 31:11rx
excellent performance by the 11:30am class, and Jim coming close to sub 30rx – sick!
WOD: 39:00 I dont know what bands are equivalent to but I had a 176# pullup and the rest as RX so brutal but so good
just got this link from my sis (Jen K, you know her) who i apparently recently convinced to do CrossFit in NYC:

with Badger today, thought it was especially appropriate to share.
it’s been a little while since I had butterflies in my stomach over the upcoming workout! Looking forward to facing them down in honor of CPO Carter.
For anyone interested in some strongman/CrossFit competition, the Hybrid Athletics Winter Challenge was posted today.

Here’s to you Badger, 39:51 RX
27:07 rx it was a burner
Its been too long since we were in the same class, way to kill it bud
What a work-out! It was a great 7pm class. Thanks for pushing me Eric, Joe, Aaron, Claire, Laura, Brian, JK, Chandra, Kate. Sigh…. I so wanted to give up after a really long day. Glad I didn’t.~xo
Perseverance is the hard work you do after you get tired of doing the hard work you already did.
