About That Time

It’s been a few months since Baseline has been programmed, so it’s time for a retest.  We did this particular spin on the bodyweight conditioning test back on August 17th, 2010.  You’ve got 10 minutes to complete the workout (make note of your time for comparison) as a buy-in for an AMRAP of box jumps.  Is your Baseline time faster than last time?  Can you do more box jumps?  What parts of the workout have you scaled up to go along with all this increased power output?  Remember, we’re chasing performance here, and an improved score is a marker for improved fitness.

Baseline + Max Rep 24″ Box Jumps, in 10 minutes
500m Row
40 Squats
30 Sit-ups
20 Push-ups
10 Pull-ups
*Note Baseline time
Use remaining 10 minutes to complete as many 24″ box jumps as possible. Score is total box jumps.

  1. Great to be back in this morning with a reminder to change up my breakfast away from bananas.

    This was a good WOD for most of us this morning at the 5:30 and listening to others psyched about it as they entered. To everyone else good luck with it today.

  3. August 17th was actually the day Shorty and I dropped in for our trial class. I don’t have any documentation for what I did that day, but my push ups were definitely on my knees and my pull ups had at least a purple band.

    Fast forward 8.5 months: 6:40 Rx with lots of room for improvement on pull ups and push ups. 46 boxjumps with remaining time.

  5. Hey guys – Christina is throwing a Paleo Making/Eating Party on Sunday at her house in Lowell. I will be driving from the gym…let me know if anyone wants to come and get a ride with me! There promises to be good food and company for watching the Red Sox Game!

    WOD: 8:00 rx + 25 box jumps @24″. Took verrrrry long to finish the pull-ups, but at least got it done!

  7. PP: 70kg – Still working on regaining OH strength since shoulder injury. NOT a PR.
    WOD: 4:17 + 99 Box Jumps – 20 second baseline improvement since August 17 and 22 more box jumps.
    My legs and hips are spent right now. I was sucking major wind on the jumps.

  8. 70kg. WOD: 4:57rx, 54 (or maybe 55?) box jumps. not my best jumping on a box performance, legs just felt like noodles the whole time.
