2 Year Anniversary

Happy Anniversary!  It was 2 years ago this Wednesday, December 14th that we started holding regular classes here at CrossFit Fenway.  Our run of success wouldn’t be possible without all of you coming in, and working your tails off day in and day out.  You continue to surprise, impress, and inspire on a daily basis.  All of your progress has enabled us to continually increase the complexity of our programming and coaching.  Even better, and more importantly though, you’ve helped to create a strong, supportive community, where we can comfortably try new things, and share in the pride and joy of our accomplishments.  I’m so grateful for the relationships and opportunities that have come out of this place.  Who ever thought fitness could be this much fun, and that a gym could mean so much to so many?  Here’s to many more great years of choosing to challenge ourselves, and achieving our goals.  Stay tuned for details on an upcoming celebration.

  1. Happy Anniversary!!! As someone who has been around for all but about the first 6 weeks, I can honestly say it’s been an amazing journey so far.

  2. Happy anniversary CFF! So glad I joined this community a year and a half ago. It’s been one heck of a journey. Looking forward to continuing on and my personal improvement at CFF.

Front Squat: 100 kg – PR
    WOD: 11:17 (24″ box, 24 kg)

The WOD was tough, but fun – lots of variety. Great programming!

  3. Happy anniversary! There surely will be many more to come. It’s be pretty awesome so far!

FS: 80kg (Matched 3 rep PR). Need to improve my overall squat strength.

    WOD: 10:47 Rx
This WOD was a burner, but was really fun. Way to get after it 6 am (AKA Me/Cal)

  4. Happy Birthday CFF! I don’t want to imagine how differently the last 18 months would have been had I opted not to email about that free trial/eval.

    FS — 51kg
WOD — 14:20Rx, including the 30-45 seconds I spent fixing my hair and possible extra round toward the end…not quite focused enough this morning.

Heal up that box bite, Jess!

  5. happy birthday!!! so exciting. i, too, am so very happy to be part of this amazing community 🙂

    FS: 55kg PR
WOD: 12:20 Rx. I think I might have nightmares about the 24kg KB. This was a really mental workout for me – I actually had thoughts of quitting a few times around the rounds of 8, 7 and 6. I definitely want to try this one again and take a new mental approach to it.

  6. Happy Anniversary CFF!

FS: 85 kg (either a 3 rep PR or ties a PR…either way a good day)

    WOD: 12:02 Rx

Greg killed it! Was a bit shocked when he yelled ‘TIME’ and I was still on my set of 5’s, lol.

  7. Happy BIRTHDAY!! Excited to see what the terrible 2’s have in store…

FS: 60kg (10kg PR from last set of 3’s… happy about that).
WOD: 8:54 Rx- Main focus was on continually moving.

New Year’s resolution = post to comments. Awesome job, 5:30… full house!

  8. fs: 75kg. not even close to a pr. had 80×2 without too much trouble, then just collapsed..oh well.
WOD: 12:12rx. way too much time staring at the box.

one good note – I think I finally have double unders, pretty solid.
and one great note: HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!

  9. HBD CFF!!! Miss you guys but am gettin’ after it at CrossFit Hanford while I’m gone. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon!

  10. Happy birthday, CFF. Thank you for coming into our lives… I remember the day you first opened your doors. I walked in to check out the demos that day and then promised myself that I would sign up one month later, soon after I came back from traveling for the holidays. And I am so glad I kept that promise.

Wow, two years. Time really does fly when you’re having fun…

FS – 95kg (matches 3rep PR – apparently my depth on my last set at 96kg wasn’t good enough…)
    WOD – 14:45 (24″, 24kg – probably didn’t help that I went out the night before…)
